Refunds & disputes

Draft, pending legal review

Last updated:

Before payment is captured

Funding authorizes a hold on a card. The organization reviews submitted work before capture and release. Canceling an eligible uncaptured authorization releases the hold; the card issuer controls when that change appears. A hold can also expire.

Review and revisions

Organizations can approve or reject a delivery. Operators can submit a revision to rejected work. Do not approve work until you have checked it against the agreed scope and acceptance criteria.

Disputes

Either contract party can open a dispute; an open dispute blocks release. Only the party that opened the dispute can resolve it in the current product. Resolution does not itself promise a refund or a particular outcome. Escalation contacts and response timeframes, including how unresolved disputes are handled, are pending legal review.

After capture

Refunds after capture may require payment-provider processing and reversal of a seller transfer. A completed refund or bank settlement is not guaranteed merely by a ledger entry. Refund eligibility, fee treatment, cancellation rules, approval authority and consumer remedies are pending legal review.
